Carpooling is the act of more than one passenger going in a single vehicle. A few realities about carpooling make it a sensible and viable approach to travel.
You can carpool on a specially appointed premise. This works particularly well for the individuals who take a similar route. Carpooling sometimes doesn’t have to be the whole length of the journey
Benefits of carpooling
It is good for the environmentIn terms of energy consumption, Nigeria is ranked 5th in Africa and 68th in the world. A significant piece of this energy is consumed exclusively by privately owned vehicles that runs on crude oil products, e.g. Petro, diesel etc. which are non-renewable source of energy. Going at the present rate, may lead to crude oil crisis in the future.
Conservation of fuel.
Carpooling can help conserve non-renewable energy sources like petrol, diesel etc.For example, four individuals travel from A to B regularly. It takes them about a quarter gallon of gas per head to make a trip from A to B on a regular basis; that is around 5.5 gallons of gas per head every month, or 22 gallons of fuel for every month, or around 250 gallons per year. Nonetheless, if the four individuals decided to travel through carpooling, they would consume just a fourth of the aggregate sum of gasoline; that is just around 60 gallons per year. This is great!!! Yay.
Fuel Efficiency
Carpooling likewise implies productive utilization of fuel. Regardless of whether there is a single individual in the vehicle, or four, the vehicle will require a similar measure of fuel to go from place A to B. So why not utilize it productively?
It reduces pollution.
Carpooling implies more individuals in a single vehicle, implies less number of individual vehicles on the road, and what does that lead to? Less air pollution, less carbon emission. Carpooling is an immediate advance towards a cleaner and greener environment. Air pollution, in this sense, is probably the deadliest type of pollution. It is for our own interest to reduce it?
